🦇 How It Plays
Commander: Edgar Markov
Cast inexpensive Vampires to build your board early. Whenever you cast another Vampire spell while Edgar is in the command zone or on the battlefield, Eminence creates a 1/1 black Vampire token. You can grow your army without first casting your commander.
Legion Lieutenant strengthens your Vampires, while Shared Animosity rewards attacking with creatures that share a type. Once Edgar joins the battlefield, Edgar’s own attacks place a +1/+1 counter on each Vampire you control, making your growing army more threatening.
Blood Artist and Cruel Celebrant add life drain when creatures die, giving the deck another way to pressure opponents beyond combat. Viscera Seer provides a sacrifice outlet, and Skullclamp helps turn smaller creatures into fresh cards. Balance aggressive attacks with protecting your board and rebuilding after removal.
