⚔️ How It Plays
Commander: Niv-Mizzet, Guildpact
Establish your five-color mana with Birds of Paradise, Farseek, and Chromatic Lantern. Deploy two-color permanents representing different color pairs to strengthen your commander’s payoff, while Captain Sisay helps find legendary cards for your team.
When Niv-Mizzet deals combat damage to a player, his ability deals X damage to any target, lets a chosen player draw X cards, and gains you X life. Choose yourself for the card draw to replenish your hand. X counts the different color pairs represented among permanents you control that have exactly two colors. Repeated pairs count only once, and permanents with three or more colors do not increase X.
Develop your board with legendary allies and keep answers such as Assassin’s Trophy and Anguished Unmaking ready for opposing threats. Build a diverse team, find an opening for your flying commander, and turn a successful hit into momentum.
